COURTYARD SUITES
Old Post offers an excellent alternative for larger groups of up to twelve people. Each of our two-bedroom suites provides comfortable accommodation that will sleep up to four people. All three suites are adjoined with a shared front porch. Suite amenities include; a small refrigerator for snacks and beverages, bedding, linens, towels, heating, ceiling fans, a three-piece bathroom.
LAKESIDE
This stand-alone suite sits at the front of camp, and offers a spacious octagonal deck overlooking the lake, a double bed, an additional bedroom that sleeps two, a small refrigerator for snacks and beverages, bedding, linens, towels, heating, ceiling fans and a three-piece bathroom.
LOG CABINS
Our spacious 1000 sq. ft. log cabins are equipped with hot and cold running water, three-piece baths with showers, a large living area, two large bedrooms and a complete kitchen. Each kitchen boasts a propane range with oven, electric refrigerator and plenty of counter and cupboard space. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, a kettle, oven mitts, glasses, utensils, place setting, etc. A wood-burning stove with ample fire wood for those chilly nights completes the picture of comfort and relaxation. All bedding, towels and linens are provided.
BOATS & MOTORS
Rugged, stable, and spacious - the Kingfisher Warrior 1825 sets the standard for camp-boat reliability - equipped with comfy swivel seats and a spacious casting deck.
Our heavy duty aluminum 18.5-foot Kingfisher boats are powered by 50HP 4-stroke Yamaha engines - fast, quiet and dependable.
WORLD-FAMOUS
OLD POST SHORE LUNCH
An absolute must for any visitor to Old Post Lodge! Expertly prepared by our guides. By the time the northern fresh air has peaked your appetite and the fish have worn out your arms, you are sure to have caught plenty of walleye for your guide to prepare for shore lunch over an open wood fire. Although your shore lunch menu will vary from day-to-day, a typical example would be as follows:
WILD RICE STIR-FRY
Locally harvested wild-rice with sautéed mushrooms and onions,
stir-fried with soya sauce and spices.
FRESH-CAUGHT, DEEP FRIED WALLEYE
Fresh walleye filets battered in Old Post batter, deep-fried in vegetable oil until golden brown.
FRESH-CAUGHT, POACHED WALLEYE
Fresh walleye filets poached over a bed of sautéed mushrooms and onions seasoned with our unique Old Post spice blend.
If you are on your own, a shore lunch kit is provided for your own use.
Delicious bagged lunches are also available to take with you on your day of fishing.

BREAKFAST
Start the day off with a cup of our custom coffee blend, paired with one of our satisfying breakfasts. Each day is different, but we like to offer our guests sweet and savoury fare, with a healthy side of protein to sustain you out on the water.
DINNER
After a vigorous day on the lake, you can expect a hardy meal for dinner, followed by a tasty dessert. We pride ourselves on developing menus that showcase wholesome ingredients, resulting in simply delicious food. All meals are prepared on-site by our talented Chef.
THE PATIO & FIREPIT
After dinner, grab yourself a drink and step outside, where you can enjoy an evening by the campfire or just relax in one of our Adirondack chairs as you take in the sights and sounds of spectacular Lake St. Joseph.
THE STORE
The store was originally a Hudson’s Bay Trading Post that has been fully restored to its former glory, surrounded by artifacts found on-site, antiques and even an authentic birch bark canoe. Browse through our large selection of jigs, spoons, and other fishing gear suitable for walleye and northern pike. We also carry a large selection snacks and drinks, custom-designed apparel, souvenirs, and of course our legendary Old Post jams.
GETTING HERE
JOURNEY TO THE LODGE
If you are driving up to Old Post Lodge, schedule your arrival at the "landing" between 4 and 7 pm where our staff will transport you and your gear for a 10 minute ride across the lake on our transportation barge. Once at camp, you can settle in and prepare for fishing bright and early the next morning. Depending upon the length of your package, your last morning is set aside for your departure from the beach no later than 9:00 am. If you have chosen one of our scheduled or charter flights or a bus trip, times of arrival and departure as well as length of stay will depend upon your package. Special arrangements pertaining to arrival and departure times can be made in advance to suit your individual needs.
TRANSPORTATION BARGE
Our custom-made transportation barge boasts twin 115HP Yamaha four-stroke engines, a drop-down gate off the bow, and covered luggage rack, making your trip from the landing to Old Post Lodge easy, quick and comfortable.

Old Post Lodge's powerful generators and water treatment plant ensures all our guests have access to electricity and safe, clean drinking water — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
FISH HOUSE
The fish house boasts two large stainless steel sinks, plenty of counter space to clean and wrap your fish and 4 large stand-up freezers to store your filets until departure. Fish cleaning services are available upon request.
